Lollapalooza 2008 hitting record attendance numbers

Yes, folks, it's true - Lollapalooza sold out last night and its looking like the same might happen again today! So, if you're intending on picking up tickets to attend Lollapalooza/Kidzapalooza for today or tomorrow (don't forget, kids under 10 get in free) - get in quick!

Great feedback continues to come in from all who attended Kidza Day 1 - here's a taste of what some are saying:

"11:55 a.m.: The day’s first outbreak of dancing occurs -- at the Kidz stage, of course. The giddy surf tunes of Suzy Brack get the tykes moving. Did I say how much I love the Kidz stage? Since Lollapalooza’s inaugural year in Grant Park in 2005, this often-overlooked stage has been a little oasis of shade, fun and surprises." - Greg Kot, Chicago Tribune

"Adjusting to his surroundings, (Jeff) Tweedy played the role of cool babysitter, doling out kid-friendly advice before delivering knowing, adult winks on the side ... a reunion with former Uncle Tupelo member Bill Belzer on Tupelo’s vintage “New Madrid” provided my personal highlight. Rogue Wave ... peppering their set with little kid-beware nuggets like, “We don’t want you to grow up to be small-minded people,” in an intro to “Postage Stamp World,” gave me a little taste of their worldview." - Matthew Lurie, Time Out Chicago

And Billboard.com have named Kidza favorites Tiny Masters of Today in their Top 10 New & Notable Must See Bands at Lolla 2008! Not bad, considering there are over 100 acts to choose from!

The fun continues today from 11.30am on the Kidzapalooza stage. Click here to see our full schedule.
